You're leaving the library ... when you realize it's dark, and you're alone. What now? The safety service Night Ride can help you out, but only if you're a CU student, faculty member or staff. Night Ride is funded by CU student fees and it offers a free ride to anywhere in Boulder. But that's not quite enough for some students, because this service stops at 1:15am on weekends.

In the last two weeks, the Boulder community has been impacted by three physical assaults. For those individuals looking for alternative late night rides, the public transit route of the "Night Hop" could be the safe answer. It caters to the CU campus, Downtown Boulder, and the Twenty-Ninth Street Mall until 3am on weekends. Or there's always cab services. During this unsettling time, it's your decision to take the safe ride home. Don't walk alone, especially at night; make the smart decision.
